GKT 5s 1 - 3 Roehampton 1s (LUSL Wednesday League)

Goal(s): Uzzy Jamil

Report: "GKT took a little time to get settled into this game against talented and well organised opponents (who even turned up with a coach). Roehampton saw a lot of the ball in the first half but didn't create a whole lot, scoring a sloppy goal to which GKT replied immediately with a glancing near post header from MOTM Uzzy Jamil, 1-1. In the last few seconds of the first half, Roehampton's wonder boy striker jinked past 3 defenders on the edge of the box and played a deft left footed shot past a helpless Joe Jolley which found the postage stamp. GKT created some good chances second half and fresher Aarav Kaisther was inches away from equalising from a Hari Ravi cross. Roehampton were strong on the break however, and eventually made it 3-1 when the referee ignored the offside flag. All in all a disappointing first result of the season but a valiant performance against strong opponents. Onwards and upwards."

Man of the Match: Uzzy Jamil

GKT 5s 5 - 1 KCL 5s (GKT/KCL Challenge Cup)

Goal(s): Uzzy Jamil, Vijay Singh, Mo Remy, Raz Ahmed, Hichem Bouayed

GKT 5s 3 - 2 GKT 2s (Pre-Season Friendly)

Goal(s): Mo Remy (3)

Report: "The 5s started strongly in this fiercely contested friendly and had the 2s rattled after Mo Remy scored early with a tidy finish. The 5s used the momentum to continue to create chances whilst playing good passing football. The 2s were then awarded a clear penalty, which Ram slotted neatly into the bottom corner. At 1 - 1 the 2s kept possession well but struggled to get through the underdogs' solid back four. Mo then scored from the penalty spot after an unsubtle handball in the 2s box to make it 2 - 1. In the second half possession was shared with neither team creating many chances until Mo completed his hat trick with a looped finish after a good passing move by the 5s - 3 - 1. Towards the end of the game the poor fitness of the 5th team showed and they parked the bus under increasing pressure. With 5 minutes to go striker Adam Edobor scored to make it 3 - 2 with a cruel deflection fooling Joe Jolley, but the 5th team hung on to secure a landmark victory to begin the season."
